Why is my turn Puppies fur silver / gray?
My parents dog is a yorkshire terrier black type (Priscilla) and she became pregnant by a chihuahua tan (Sparky). It was only a puppy on October 21, he went all black with a white spot on his chin. As he got older he got more gray and gray, Kinda like money. This does not bother me, I think he is adorable (and it looks like the old). Anyway, wondering why this happens. Is it genes or something else? Thank you!
Many dogs end up with different hair colors in later life. My puppy is born black with just a little little white. Now, there are a lot of white on his belly and his ears are brown. I think it takes time for these colors coming in.
