Why the ring in white gold have a smell?
My father bought a white gold ring $ 1,500 a year ago (he had it evaluated and is indeed white gold) Now it has a smell to it, had it professionally cleaned twice a day and she still had the smell to it. Is there anything he can do about it?
You must obtain rhondium plated. Go to the jeweler where it was purchased and tell them to get plated. It should be free. not sure that is spelled right - Rhodium perhaps. I have done for my ring because it yellowed. It should help anyway though. Avoid getting moisture underneath.
