Edwardian Gold
How can you tell between a mirror?
I just inherited a hand mirror in beautiful woodland. A report says that's probably Victorian or Edwardian. (What happens on the folklore of the family!) The mirror has a painted woman on his back, dressed a blue suit and gold flowing, shoulder, with her hair up, holding a vase full of flowers and surrounded by a garland of flowers painted. This map is a painting flowers even just below the window. There are more flowers on the bottom of the handle. I know it must be pretty old because the glass has tiny ripples in it. Normally, with stuff like that go by the dress of the woman on his back, but I suspect that the historical portrait was placed on the back. Did it actually happen? Thank you very much in advance, I can give you more info if you want! (And I'm sorry if this is the wrong category I could not find a proper category for it!)
For a truly accurate assessment I recommend you take it to an expert in your field. Although if I were to venture a guess, it's probably quite old, judging by how the glass is "wrinkled". Or you could try one of these online assessments, but they probably will not be as accurate as it will not be in person. Good luck, it sounds nice and help certainly a lot to you!
