Embossed Silver
What is the retail value of the note in 1899 and how much would you pay for it if you could buy it?
I was wondering how I should pay for the note described below and how it's retail value is ...? I know that you can not see, but it is a 66, then imagine perfection. 1899 $ 1 Dollar Silver Certificate & Certified by PMG @ 66 EPQ Gem Uncirculated. Strongly margins Wonderful relief with two figures and a serial number. His number serial T30A. Friedberg number is FR-236 and the signatures are Speelman & White. Please give a source on how you obtained the retail value of the note. Thank you!
The note you see on eBay is a kind word, but overpriced at $ 4K. Two of the same class PMG recently sold for about $ 1100. The examples noted above that I found on an auction site specializing in coins / currency was a PMG 64 to 500 $ and a PCGS 64 to 600 $, then $ 1,000 to $ 1,200 for a 66 sounds about right. Now the serial number low is desirable to some collectors and the value of a premium. I do not know money well enough to know what the premium may be, but the seller is shooting for the moon, in my opinion.
