How do I install Mac OS 10.5 on a hard drive erased?
I bought an iMac on eBay. He came with orders from the previous owner still above (including Tiger). I wanted to do an erase / install of Leopard, then transferring files from my old computer. Amid the clear, the power cord was accidentally fired. When I restarted the computer, the player has apparently been erased, and the installer said that the installation of 10.5 required the presence of 10.4, which could not be found. I inserted the installation disk 10.4, to install it, but the computer does not boot from that (or any other drive). Even when holding down the "C" key, I get only a gray screen with a folder / question mark. Would appreciate suggestions on how to get Leopard installed on this disk erased!
Start the Leopard disc. Smithers is just reformat the hard drive, then reinstall the system.
