What is the difference between the laboratory of Golden Retriever and Labrador?
Are they the same? I struggled as if to get a labrador or golden retriever (dog or a lab / golden lab) can someone tell me the advantages and disadvantages of both? please ... preaches not for me about the adoption until I adopted and I'll do it again.
You've actually got two questions here. First, as the difference between a Lab and a Golden Labrador Retriever. There is no "Golden Lab" - a name that some people use for Yellow (Lab Labs come in three basic colors - yellow, black and chocolate). If someone tries to sell you a "Golden Lab" run like a mad in the opposite direction. Either they do not know what the real name of the dog or trying to sell you a Golden Retriever Labrador Retriever cross. Labs and Goldens are both very different breeds. I'm not a Golden or lab person, but basically, the lab is a little more independent, a little noisier and * may * be a little more hyper. They are a breed with short hair, even if their coat is double and they shed like crazy. Golden Retrievers come * a * base color - gold - in various shades of pale cream to almost a red Irish Setter. Their hair is longer, more fringes. They are very dedicated, race easygoing and very popular in obedience like dogs because they are easy to train. They are usually a little more relaxed Labs that. I'll let someone who has the dog go to the cons, my idea of the con may not be the same as theirs. Neither would be my choice of race, but it's a particular taste, not necessarily the "fault" of the dog!
