How to remove the dye jeans to leather?
I have a pair of jeans with designs on leather back pocket and it has spots of dye denim throughout the design. How can I remove these stains? Please help!
Dye transfer is a specific problem with light leather. Products removing ink should not be used here. only product on the market, especially made for transfer dye is Maxi Cleaner (this is a detergent cleanser much stronger than any - other cleaners do regular content work if the dye is very fresh) The deeper the dye has penetrated the finish the harder it is to remove and if Maxi Cleaner do not delete then it is not a cleaning problem and Wil must be addressed in a different way. It is important to remove all residues of dye transfer out of leather as the ultimate recourse is to recolour the leather and all residues that are left will come back around. Use a protective leather quality (no conditioner), will inhibit this problem from occurring in the Furture. Saddle soap should not be used to clean leather furniture because it is too severe and may cause damage. It was envisaged for the stools are finished in a completely different of other leathers. Please do not use Hairspray because it contains solvents and may damage the finish Hope this helps
