Open Faced
I can not get my face open reel fishing cast. What should I do?
I used an open face reel countless times. My new one I bought will not be cast. I tried everything I can think of. It is as if he hangs. I even ran the line along the post several times. It came with the line on the spool. Could be on the line the wrong reel?
If there is a loop or node on the line, there is a possibility that your distance will be shortened cast. Twisted lines form loops on the reels spinning and these loops can be buried somewhere under the line. Cast your line as far as you can then tape over the line by hand. You do not need sections lines too. If a loop knot or buried under the line, you should be able to locate quickly. Once you've got untangled the loop, your casting distance should improve. It is best to strip your line into the water. If you strip your line on land, there is a higher chance that the line will form a ball and entanglement.
