What actions can I take against a medical clinic that allowed me less than perfect customer service?
I refuse to pay a $ 100 fee for a clinic in MI that made me wait for a period of time in the office and staff had a very unfriendly demenour about them. Themselves complain to the office manager only led the charge against me was only interested in having reduced my bill, and it will do nothing about my complaint, and either I pay the full amount, or face collection agencies and a hole in my credit rating. The local BBB has already been contacted and they will not take the issue because it is beyond their competence (Bad customer service is beyond their jurisdiction??) On the paper, anything they did was illegal and their charges are as permitted by the insurance co. BUT, I feel frustrated that the institution can get away with poor service by threatening their customers with bad credit, they should not pay. Even a friendly chat from the manager office and a polite attitude would have softened the blow. What are my options cheap?
I can totally understand how you feel. The same thing happened to me arrived a few weeks ago. In all honesty, they have not violated any law. The $ 100 you need is just courteous - it medical service. If you have insurance, I would file a complaint with the insurance company and request to be removed from post their list of suppliers. If you're not sure ... you do not [use that has not already been mentioned] - except to end your visit ... and spread the word.
