SC - Has anyone in your house ever wear one?

pocket watch? I have one, but never realized. My father had one, but never used. My grandfather used his "pw" because he had no wristwatch.

I was in Charleston, South Carolina several years ago on a job and stopped at a jewelry store and looking watches. A clerk asked if she could help me and I asked if all the pocket watches were electronic. She said they were running on battery. I said I was looking a winding one. She had never heard such a thing. I said, "Oh, yes. They designed a watch that has a mechanism such as a wind toys, and every day you wind up making it work. "She said she had never heard of it and that I have check it out because it seemed so interesting. It was all I could do not to laugh. The only place you can find pocket watches are LIQUIDATION Now the flea markets or perhaps large lenders. I always wanted one. Now that I'm in my 60, I guess it's ok for me to wear. When wrist watches first came out, it was considered effeminate for a man to wear one. (A little info)
