See Quartz Pocket
What kind of rock is this?
Ok, I've had this rock for a few years, and I have yet to know what kind of rock it is. There are 2 spots on the rock. One part is quartz, and the other I do not know. The other part is clear and see-through to a certain degree Right below the smoothly cut outer layer, you can see a thin layer that looks like a flat air pocket. This looks like a fairly standard piece of quartz. It is made up of many interconnected crystals, which is why you see some planes within the rock. There maybe some small water pockets within the rock, to add to the complexity of it.
