I need a good chili recipe please?
I've never cooked chili before, but I want the first time very tasteful. I do not expect to get the best answer, but I've never had chili before so I guess that's you, people of Yahoo! to vote!
Too bad you did not say if you like yours hot and spicy or mild. I am a very good chili that almost everyone likes. It is very simple and delicious. My version is sweet as I do for children in the house, but you can always decorate easily adding some jalapeno or cayenne or more chili powder if you like yours hot Chile. Lori's 3 pounds ground Chuck 1 onion, chopped 1 pint (32 ounces) stewed tomatoes, canned or home the same amount of diced tomatoes in cans 1 can light red kidney beans, rinsed and drained 1 can Bush's chili beans (mild, medium or hot) 1 liter of water 1-2 packets Chile-O mix chili powder (I usually use 1 12 / package) Crackers (soda, Ritz, oysters) shredded cheddar cheese or Co-Jack cheese (8 ounces or more) in large Dutch oven or other 6 quart pot, Chuck brown earth with onion, drain fat and return meat to saucepan. Add tomatoes, two cans of beans and water, mix well. Add the chilli O-Mix and blend well. If you add the other ingredients to your taste peppers (jalapeno, green peppers, or mushrooms), add them now. Stir and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once the water boils, turn down and simmer for an hour or more before serving. This can also be mixed and put in a crock pot to simmer for several hours until use. Serve with crackers and cheddar cheese or Co-Jack cheese. Delicious!
