What about gifts twice?
Here is a strange problem. My friend buys gifts for doubles and I do not know why. I bought a dress shirt as a gift and showed it to my friend. My friend bought the same T-shirt of a different color as a gift to the same person. I bought a leather jacket for a parent. My friend bought a cheaper version of the same jacket - same color same style, but a material thinner - as a gift to the relative. I bought a bag of vintage Swiss Army for a friend who rides and has difficulty finding backpack rugged good. My friend bought a backpack trip to second hand to the same person. I spend time and effort to find gifts that the recipient will appreciate. If my friend discovered one of my gifts, my friend goes out and buys a cheaper, less sweet version of the gift to the same person. This has happened before, but Christmas is just out of control. The gifts that my friend does not duplicate those are my friend does not see. Why does my friend do?
Why? Because your friend is weird and / or had no confidence. You obviously have good taste and a perception what a person will want as a gift. She (?) Either does not spend time and effort to imagine something original, or it is not safe in their choices and the social skills she chooses not to risk buying something unique to individual. Make sure it do not know what you bought in the future. (Must be weird for the person receiving the gifts!)
